With vaccines going out, restrictions winding down, and the weather warming up, spring in Blacksburg presents the perfect opportunity to finally get out of the house with safe, socially distanced outdoor events and festivals, outdoor activities, and more! Brew Ridge Festival in BlacksburgUptown Christiansburg (formerly New River Valley Mall) presents the 2021 Spring Carnival from Cole Shows Amusement Company starting on Thursday, April 29th through Sunday, May 9th. Enjoy amusement park rides, game booths, food and fun for the whole family!

Mountain Lake’s Annual Brewridge Music Festival will take place May 22nd at the Mountain Lake Lodge. Bring family and friends for an afternoon full of Bands, Beers, and Brats! Come enjoy Virginia’s best craft beer and live musical performances!

FloydFest is a 5-day music festival scheduled for July 21st to 25th, nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. The event is a celebration of music & art and features over 100 performers on 8+ stages!

Kids Activities:

We’ve all been cooped up this winter and no-one has felt it more than the kids! Spring finally brings the opportunity for them to get outside, release all that pent up energy, and enjoy some activities and events just for them.

Soccer Camp in Blacksburg VaWine & Design provides Art Buzz Kids, art classes and camps for kids, at their studio in Christiansburg. The classes inspire kids to have fun, get creative, and feel proud of their work by completing a guided art project.

Virginia Tech will be hosting Soccer Camps for young soccer players, in June & July. The Day Camps include the Elite Soccer Academy Day Camp from June 14-18, for ages 4 to 12. And, The Nike Collegiate Soccer Experience for ages 10 to 18, for June 24-26, July 15-17 & July 29-31.
